Mr. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CIETAC received the visit by Mr. Robert L. Sills, attorney at law with Orrick, Herrington &Sutcliffe LLP and Mr. Robert S. PE, the partner of Orrick Coudert on March 4, 2008.

During the meeting, Mr. Yu Jianlong expressed his thanks for the support by Orrick along these years and briefed the guests about the recent development of CIETAC, while Mr. Sills introduced the major business of his law firm, especially the business involving Chinese elements. Both of them agree that it is of great necessity to promote arbitration as the dispute resolution mechanism to tackle with the growing number of commercial disputes arising with the increase of international investment and trade. They also discussed the possibility of co-hosting programs to further strengthen cooperation in the field of international arbitration.
