March 21, 2008, Mr.John Liebeskind, the newly elected Chairman of SwissCham China visited CIETAC. Mr. Yu Jianlong, the Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of CIETAC received the visit.

Mr. Liebeskind introduced the reform made by the SwissCham in the past two years and the strategies of development in the future. He pointed out that the SwissCham was very keen to establish even closer cooperative relationship with CCPIT and CIETAC.

Mr. Yu Jianlong congratulated Mr. Liebeskind on his reelection as President of SwissCham Beijing and the election as the Chairman of SwissCham China. He said he was very impressed by what the SwissCham had achieved in the previous two years to reform the organization and to make it more active.

Mr. Yu Jianlong was very positive toward the cooperation proposal raised by Mr. Liebeskind. He agreed that the two organizations should conduct cooperation on many occasions and in various forms.

The SwissCham China is one of the oldest foreign chambers of commerce with activities in China. It has three regional organizations respectively in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. Mr. Yu Jianlong is now the Honorary Director of the Board of the SwissCham Beijing.
