The New CIETAC Arbitration Rules will Come into Force on May 1st, 2005

 

The Panel of Arbitrators of CIETAC being renewed

   In accordance with the Regulations on Engaging Arbitrators of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and China Maritime Arbitration Commission, the 15 th Commission of CIETAC readjusted the Panel of Arbitrators of CIETAC. The new Panel of Arbitrators formally comes into effect as from September 1, 2001. During the adjustment, CIETAC engages 57 Chinese arbitrators and 21 foreign arbitrators (including arbitrators form Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). 45 original arbitrators' engagement was stopped. Currently, there are totally 518 arbitrators listed in the Panel, including 344 domestic arbitrators and 174 arbitrators of foreign nationalities or from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan).
